In Honor of My Home

Here are some pictures I've taken of my house over the last few years. I'm sad that I won't be going home to this house anymore, but I am grateful to have my parents so close to me.

This is the front of our house and judging by the cars in the driveway, this picture is probably three years old or so.

This is a shot of our property from the front of my house.
This is a shot of the driveway. Very exciting, I know. (Notice the wood in the circle of the driveway, behind the basketball hoop. My dad made us stack a ton of wood growing up, and now they won't even get to use it all.)
And lastly, this is the view from the deck at the back of my house. (Click on it to make it bigger. It's prettier that way.)
Goodbye Placerville!

Tyler's first post

Christine said that I needed to be a part of this whole blog thing so here I am. At first I was a bit hesitant because blogging is like internet scrapbooking, which is something that forever in my mind is associated with Relief Society. Me being the man that I am, have a natural aversion to all things crafty like that. So I decided that I was going to add a Y-chromosome touch to this whole thing. So here I am in my very first float tubing experience.
Being that this is my first experience float tubing, it is hard to ignore my raw talent as is seen here as I am casting over my head.
Once again my skill cannot be ignored. Here I am holding my first fish, while it is not Garibaldi the Gadoo, it is quite impressive. The fish is actually bigger than it appears in the picture. The camera takes off 10 pounds.

What I did while you were at Lake Powell

From the Weidmer family reunion at South Lake Tahoe, California.

Nathan, me, and Braden.

Braden laying out on the beach to warm up.

Sean gettin' in the water like his mom told him not to do.

The water is FREEZING in that lake.

Kirsten and Karmen enjoying the sun.

Uncle Tom, Aunt Joy, my mom, and Audie (in the back).

A picture of some of the ski runs at Heavenly. I took this picture for Tyler.

Audie's two sunfish out on the lake. This picture was taken from the shore.

Audie's two sunfish again. I took this one from Uncle Wick's sailboat.

My dad sailin' Wick's sailboat.

My mom on Wick's sailboat.

Look at how incredibly blue the water is.

Hiking

These are pictures from the hike we went on near Payson Lakes.

Honeymoon Pictures

Here are some pictures from our honeymoon. Don't worry - they're G rated. They're also in no particular order...

This one is from Catalina Island, after lunch.

A sting ray made from towels, thanks to our lovely stateroom attendant.

One of the displays on chocolate night. The entire thing is made of fruits and vegetables.

Tyler with the towel dog - another thanks to our stateroom attendant.

Trying on hats in San Diego.

Relaxing in a chair in San Diego.

Not sure what this is...it looks like Gonzo to me.

Trying on glasses on Catalina Island.

Riding a sea-doo in the Pacific Ocean.

Our first night on the cruise. In the background you can see a Carnival cruise ship following us.

A picture taken while playing bingo. Sadly, we didn't win (or play again).

This boat (in San Diego) was apparently used in the filming of Master and Commander.

Not sure what beach, San Diego, Pacific Ocean.
