Update on THE check

The scholarship check is still MIA, but I received an email from the Academy of LDS Dentists saying that they'd stop payment on the old check and send me a new one. Hallelujah! I'm grateful everything is working out.

I joked to Tyler that we'll probably find it now that everything has worked out.

I am an IDIOT.

Allow me to vent - because I think it's the only thing that will make me feel better. :)

I recently received a scholarship check in the mail for a decent amount of money - more than I make in a month, at least. I was super excited because I was planning to put the money towards the loopes I bought at dental convention.

Problem is, I LOST IT. I cannot find it anywhere. Tyler and I have combed our house twice. We even went through the garbage three times. We've looked everywhere it could possibly be - even the impossible places. I looked in the freezer. That's how desperate I am to find this check.

After hours of looking, I'm baffled as to where it went. I didn't take it anywhere. It wasn't in the trash. It's not where I thought I put it. I'm convinced I've gone into slight depression over losing this check. Or I'm psycho, and I'm hallucinating.

Because I can't find it, I've decided I need to contact the organization who sent me the check to have them put a stop payment on it, just in case it got into the hands of someone who shouldn't have it. Wish me luck that they'll maybe consider resending me a check, minus the cost of the stop payment fee.

Today is one of those days...

...that I love being a hygienist. Call me crazy, but I enjoy scraping dead bacteria and hardened saliva off people's teeth, among other things. Today was an especially great day. My radiographs turned out well, my injections went well, and the cleaning went well. I feel like I'm finally starting to get a hang of it! Now if I can only survive my three licensing tests...

So Far, So Good

Just a quick update on the 150 miles challenge. I'm perfectly on track, having finished at least 50 miles during the month of January. Now that I have my nifty knee brace thing, I'm ready to keep tackling the challenge!
