Silly

I never really thought of this until now (and let me tell you, it's groundbreaking), but I have a lot of brown shoes.

Yup. Brown shoes.

How did I notice this, you might ask? Well, believe it or not, I'm actually not the most clean person when it comes to picking stuff up around the house. Don't get me wrong - I do the dishes and other cleaning activities such as that - but I'm really good at leaving my "crap" around the house. Just ask my mom and dad or Tyler.

(But in my defense, 90% of the time I still know where everything is, even if it's not in its right spot. You could say it's an organized laziness.)

Anyway, I noticed I had a lot of brown shoes because they had all seemed to be left in the same spot over the course of a week. I was standing in the kitchen looking at all the stuff I had laying all over the place, and I noticed I had like four or five pairs of brown shoes in one central area.

So to celebrate the brown shoes that be, I found all of my brown shoes (minus one - sorry work boots) and got them together for a picture. So cute.

Tyler told me that if I posted this, I had to get rid of one pair of them (seeing as this picture represents probably less than half of all the shoes I have). It still remains to see if that will happen.

And I guess it goes without saying that brown is one of my favorite colors...

MORE Good News!

Tyler was accepted into the BYU J. Reuben Clark Law School!! We actually haven't received "formal" notification by mail, but the dean of admissions invited Tyler into his office last week and told him that he'd been accepted. Kind of a cool way to find out, don't you think? Now we get to add this school to the list of others he's been accepted to. Decisions, decisions!

Good News Tuesday

Today has been a great day for lots of reasons, but mostly for two big reasons:

Reason #1
I found a DH clincal boards patient!! I'm so excited that I don't have to worry about finding a patient now. Well, I may still have to because he needs to be screened by more instructors, but I'm pretty certain he'll be a great candidate. He's really nice and he's been a boards patient before, so it's a perfect/ideal situation!

Reason #2
Tyler was accepted to the William and Mary School of Law! And not only was he accepted, but they offered him a very decent fellowship and scholarship arrangement. We're still waiting to hear back from other law schools, but each one Tyler is accepted to, like William and Mary, is another to consider!

Weekend in Midway

Tyler and I spent the long weekend with his family up at their cabin in Midway. It was very relaxing and a much needed break from the two long, hard weeks of school since Christmas break. (Just kidding). Tyler took up his new camera, and here are some picture we took with it.

Tyler and his dad and Kevin went fly fishing on the Provo River. Here is Tyler all decked out. I particularly like the "tail" hanging off his back.

It was so cold up there that the snow took on this neat appearance. I really like the crystals. This one's from outside the cabin.
We drove up to the hot springs to take some pictures, but decided not to take too many when there were bathers - especially a nude one!

This is a neat little cabin/home up in Midway. It kind of reminds me of a Thomas Kinkade cottage.

The cool crystalized snow once again. This one is from the side of the road, thus the dirtiness of it.

We saw some deer on our travels!

The point of this picture is the "ice sculpture" - like thing on the left side of the house.

Snow and icicles hanging from the porch roof.

Although I don't have pictures to show the following, Tyler and I went fourwheeling (it was freezing!) and Tyler's mom, Nicole, and I played with the Cricut and scrapbooked while the guys went fishing. We also played a good amount of Guitar Hero on the Wii and ate to our heart's content. Quite the weekend if you ask me!

150 Mile Challenge

Happy New Year!

With the new year comes New Year's resolutions, and I must admit - I have quite the list. One of my resolutions is a product of the girls at the office. They all set a goal to run 150 miles by the end of March, so I'm going to join in on the "fun." Now I know that's not very many miles for you running enthusiasts out there, but it will be quite the feat for me. I'll keep an update of my current total miles on the side of my blog.

The great part about this challenge is that it goes along perfectly with the Jeffs' Biggest Loser Challenge that I'm participating in. Word among the Jeffs family grapevine is that we're going on a cruise in December (destination TBA), so it's a perfect excuse to get into shape!

I hope you all had a safe and exciting New Years. Maybe I'll get Tyler to sit down with me and we'll do a "look back" at 2008 like many of you have done!
