I'm all done!

Today I took my very last licensing board test: the WREB clinical boards. This was probably the most expensive and most important test of my life, so needless to say I was a little stressed! It went well, though (7:00 am start time and all), and the best part is that it's OVER! Graduation is tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited.

I am, however, going to miss these thirteen beautiful and intelligent ladies.
I've spent more time with these girls over the last two years than I have with Tyler. No joke. I consider myself lucky, however, to have worked and stressed and laughed with these ladies. They're all so wonderful. I'm going to miss them dearly. We'll just have to have reunions often...and maybe a trip to NY to see Angie.

:)

PS - We all passed our written national boards! Wahoo!

He Graduated!

I'm so proud of Tyler. He graduated yesterday! He is now officially an engineer, having received a bachelors of science in mechanical engineering. But does school stop here for him? Nope. He was accepted to a myriad of law schools but in the end decided that BYU is the place for him. He'll start at the BYU law school this fall. I'm excited for him to start his new schooling, and I know that he is too.

In the meantime, we have four school-less months to enjoy!!

BYU graduate:

The world is Tyler's campus.

Entering to learn, going forth to serve.

Classic. Tyler showing Cougar who's who. Yeehaw.

The happy graduate about to receive his diploma.

Receiving his diploma. Yay!

After graduation, Tyler and I went to lunch with his parents at PF Changs. It was so good and a great way to celebrate graduation.

* * *

On a side note...

This is what we did yesterday after graduation. We had weeds like a rain forest. They were so incredibly thick. For as many weeds as there were, they weren't that hard to pull.

Thank goodness.

I'm Famous!

Okay, so not really, but it is fun to see your name online when you didn't type it there yourself.

Mission: Accomplished

Well, March 31 has come and gone and I still haven't reported on my 150 mile challenge.

Report: I did it!

Here's a little analysis of my running adventure (all miles were run on a treadmill, FYI):

During the three months of my challenge (January through March), I ran a total of 157 miles and burned 17,057 calories (according to the treadmill estimates based on my weight). In January I ran 51.75 miles, February 45.5, and March 59.75. My shortest running distance was 2 miles, and my longest was 4. My longest running streak was four days, and my longest non-running streak was also four days.

I began in January by running an average of 2.5 miles at a 5.5 mph pace. By the end of March, I was running an average of 4.0 miles at a 6.0 mph pace. I ran at a 1% incline all three months. Also, I ran every single one of those 157 miles. I did not count miles biked, walked, or "ellipticaled." In fact, if I counted miles walked and calories burned while walking, both measures would be higher.

Interestingly enough, over the course of the last three months I only lost 2 pounds. According to my calories burned, I should have lost closer to 5. I attribute this to [a] my birth control (less likely) and [b] my eating habits (much more likely). Needless to say, I learned the importance of eating well. Do I eat well now? No. Food and I are too good of friends to end such a great relationship. Maybe we should agree to spend less time together.

My game plan now is to cut back on running and add strength training and flexibility. The rec center offers a stability ball class that I want to go to once school is over. I've also been using the bike and elliptical more now that my challenge is over.

Just out of curiosity, I'm going to keep track of the number of miles I run in one year. I'm not striving for any certain goal; I just think it will be interesting to see how many miles I run.

Ashlee's latest blog post is a "tagged" deal. At the end, she tagged a "Christine." I read through her blogs list to see if I was the only Christine on there. I was...and so I am fulfilling my tagging duties.

Confessions...

Okay, so we didn't really buy a motorcycle...but my dad did! That's his motorcycle, and he took me for a ride on it when we were up at their house. It's a lot of fun!
